CASALE MARITTIMO:In the oldest nucleus of the medieval village of Casale Marittimo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, in the part called "Castle" there is a historic building, one of the oldest still under the protection of the superintendence of fine arts. The building is located near the Clock Tower or the ancient Civic Tower and was part of the city walls and belonged to the "Camarlingo", a kind of treasurer responsible for collecting taxes and appointed directly by the feudal lord.
The building is spread over four levels and is currently divided into two apartments, both with independent access from Via del Castello, which offers magnificent views of the village alleys up to the sea view.

The ground floor of the building consists of the first, smaller apartment, which can be accessed both from the alley to the side and from the main entrance door via a connecting door from the hallway of the internal staircase. The apartment consists of a kitchen with a beautiful fireplace, a large and bright living/dining area with sea view, a bathroom and two bedrooms.
From the main entrance located next to the Clock Tower, an internal staircase leads to the largest apartment, which is spread over three levels and consists of a hallway, a built-in eat-in kitchen, a large and bright double living room, another passageway for the upper floor, currently used as a music room, three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large habitable attic.
At the base of the building there is also a large warehouse with two independent entrances.

All the windows of the building offer wonderful and wide views up to the sea and the interior is characterized by all the typical elements of the Tuscan architecture of the time such as the beautiful exposed stone walls, the terracotta floor, the beamed ceiling and rafters and vaults. Both apartments are renovated and already habitable and the roof was completely renovated in 2022.

Casale Marittimo is a medieval village located on a gentle hill overlooking the valley below, which still retains the unchanged charm of the past and has recently been part of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia". The buildings of the historic center are characterized by stone facades typical of the area and walking through its alleys you are amazed at every step... The village is also an ideal starting point for discovering the surrounding area, characterized by the typical Tuscan countryside which changes with the seasons. In a short time you can reach renowned locations such as Baratti and Populonia, Livorno, and cities of art such as Florence, Volterra, Siena and Pisa.
